Heavenly Princess

The Nissa Dress Project

This is Nissa. She lives in a small country in Africa in an orphanage with about 19 other children. Nissa is a Heavenly Princess, but she doesn’t get to dress like one.

This is the Nissa Dress. Every cent earned from the sale of dresses made in this style will go to help Nissa and the other children who live with her. My goal is to offer dresses in both doll and girl sizes. Each dress will be made in the same general style (halter top, full skirt, elastic back waist) but will be one-of-a-kind in fabric and embellishments.

To buy a Nissa Dress, or a kit to make your own, visit this section in my shop.

In August 2010, Reach Out (a sewing club) made prototype Nissa dresses send to Africa so that Nissa and the other girls who live with her can dress like princesses too.
